Aaron Connolly increased the pressure on Spurs boss Pochettino as he contributed twice to their 3-0 victory over Tottenham. This was his first Premier League start and he marked it with two goals to help his side seal the three points.
First I would like to wish Lloris all the best and I hope he recovers from that horrific injury. Connolly really impressed on the weekend, he put Spurs back line under immense pressure driving at the defence every chance he got.
Connolly scored two goals with the second goal taken to perfection. He looked like he had been doing this for years at the highest level. His last two performance for Brighton helped him to secure his first call up for his national team, the Republic of Ireland.
This would be a massive achievement for the young man but it is nothing that the young man has not deserved. Picked off form and he has the ability to me it is only right. (highlights below)

This was a massive win for Brighton and a massive performance by Connolly. I would love to see him push on and excel from this performance. It was a lacklustre performance from Spurs but I believe he has the quality to change games for his club and country.
