I was impressed with Mahrez this week. He was the creative spark City needed to get the three points against Everton. Mahrez was not only driving City forward but tracking back and helping out defensively - something Pep would've appreciated.

With Sane injured and Bernado and Sterling playing really well and contributing, Mahrez really has to step up every chance he gets - and this weekend he definitely did. Great skill, great decision making and great overall play in a tough encounter in the Premier League.

Mahrez was involved in the opener, showing great skill to keep the ball, setting the ball precisely to De Bruyne who put an amazing ball into the box for Jesus to open the scoring. City were level (1-1) until Mahrez put them back in the lead with a free kick many say Pickford should've saved. (highlights below)

Mahrez was not done there, he was involved in the third and final goal again showing great skill and quick feet before Aguero took the ball off him and set up Sterling. I think this was a great performance from someone that has been in the shadow of the more regular wide players for City I feel.

City are struggling for centre backs right now so they will need their attacking players to be at their best to outscore teams more than ever.
