De Gea, Lingard, Firmino and David Silva made the shortlist for this weekends nominations. De Gea kept Arsenal out making 14 saves, Lingard sunk Arsenal with a brace, Firminho bagged a brace and Silva helped city win their 13th straight Premier League match.
The Brazilian imposed himself on the game with 2 assists and a goal as Liverpool saw off Brighton 5-1. The stats underlined his influence, Coutinho created more chances, completed more dribbles and had more shots than any of his team mates.
On the 30th and 31st min Coutinho assists had Liverpool 2-0 with goals from Emre Can and Firmino. His goal on the 87th min was a stroke of genius, Coutinho putting his free-kick under the Brighton wall and in to the bottom corner leaving the keeper routed to his spot.
Coutinho has been involved in 12 goals in his last 10 Premier League fixtures scoring seven goals and assisting five. His future still seems questionable but Klopp will be looking to keep the Brazilian as he adds value to the squad.
