Sterling start for Sterling! He netted a hat-trick for City as they beat West Ham 5-0. Sterling has joined the likes of Aguero, Yaya Toure, Tevez, David Silva and Dzeko netting 50 plus goals for Manchester City this weekend.
Sterling didn't score until the second half on the 51st minute doubling the champions lead after Jesus scored their first goal in the first half. VAR ruled out Sterling's second goal due to him being the tiniest bit offside.
VAR shows Sterling's arm is the body part that made him offside, it would be impossible for a lino to spot this. Some like the fact that this can be spotted now and others don't. This didn't stop Sterling as he scored his second lobbing Fabianski inside the box on the 75th minute.
He completed his hat-trick in stoppage time to make it 5 for City away from home picking up where they left off last season. Sterling became the eight player in Premier League history to scored a hat-trick on the opening day of the season.
Great start for Sterling, this could be a massive season for him, I think he will get 20 plus goals this season in the Premier League alone.
