From the most hated to the most rated, Sterling is proving he is up there with the best English players currently playing. I don't think anyone can disagree, he has to be the best English player playing right now at the highest level. If you disagree use the comment section down below.
Raheem Sterling scored a hat-trick this weekend to help City stay top of the Premier League. Despite the quality they posses, I'm still shocked Liverpool chucked away such a massive points gap. Man City still have FA cup and Champions League to compete in so if they could hold on it would be a massive achievement.
A hat-trick in 13 minutes can't be argued with and effectively the game was over for Watford before they knew it. Watford would be disappointed with the first goal as the ref ruled it out for offside and then overturned his decision to give the goal, but the other two City carved them apart.
Sterling's hat-trick is the quickest in the Premier League since Lukaku's for Everton in September 2016. He has been involved in 22 home goals in all competitions this season which is more than any other player and Sterling has scored in 52 games in all competitions for City not losing any of those games (W50 D2).
I didn't see this coming but Sterling could well become a world class winger. If City were to be successful in the Champions League he would be heavily involved. If they were to win the quadruple again he would be heavily involved. Having seen Harry Kane be nominated for the Ballon D'or without winning anything I'd like to think Sterling's name will be in there also.
