The race for the title and for a top four place is heating up. I think the teams in the relegation positions will definitely go down this season, they are too far away from the rest. Arsenal may live to regret the chances missed to beat Spurs whilst Chelsea and United both picked up three points. Lukaku was on hand to score the winner for United against Southampton as they won 3-2 this matchweek.

This match had some goal of the season contenders, it was a great watch for the neutral. Southampton ended the first half in the lead thanks to a goal from Valery. United fans have been waiting for Lukaku to step up and show his worth and there was no better time in a must win match to help seal a top four finish.

He put United ahead twice in the match with his first goal scored on the 59th minute and the winning goal in the 88th minute (highlights below). The Celebration showed how much it meant to him and Ole really has brought unity back in the dressing room. This was his 11th contribution to a goal in 11 league matches.

United are now in fourth position and have Arsenal on the weekend. This is a must win match for both teams. Lukaku had a big hand to play in their previous meeting in the FA cup so I wonder if he will have the same affect this time round.

I hope this is the rise of Lukaku, he has all the attributes to be a top striker in the Premier League and he is being mentored by a ex top striker in the Prem!
