Another week down, and some may disagree but Hazard stole it for me this matchweek. He ensured Chelsea stuck to winning ways as they beat Brighton 2-1.
Chelsea took the lead on the 17th minute mark through Pedro via Hazard. The pass was sublime a small moment of genius you need in tough away fixtures, Brighton are always set up to keep the game level for as long as possible. He is the first Chelsea player to assist a goal in four consecutive Premier League matches since Cesc Fabregas in 2014.
His goal came on the 33rd minute wrong footing the keeper making it 2-0. This put Chelsea firmly in control of the fixture. Hazard has now been involved in more in more Premier League goals this season (17 in 16 apps) than he had the whole of last season (16 in 34 apps).
He was subbed of late in the match with what looked like an ankle injury which Chelsea will be hoping is a minor as they have Bournemouth in the league cup on Wednesday. As a fan of football I hope he is not injured also as he is a joy to watch week in week out.
Where will Chelsea finish this season? Let us know in the comments below.
