Today's world is moving faster than ever, and is easily becoming more demanding. As a result, it's normal to feel a lack of motivation and burnt out. Just when you psychologically think you're ready to jump at a challenge ahead and start DO-ing things, something happens along the way that throws you completely off track. It's not long until you find yourself sinking. It feels very heavy but at the same time very familiar. You may also find yourself wanting to disappear.
So, how do you keep going? How do you maintain the focus?
HASHTAGLIVING shares a few tips on how to stay motivated once you're ready to execute on a challenge or idea:

Realise what is in your control and all that you can't control let it just be.
It's an extremely powerful thing to know and understand that you are in control of how your life unfolds. Once understood this will prevent you from living passively. We all get that feeling in our lives when you feel lost, and that's ok. But when you allow this uncertainty to take the wheel and do the steering, you can easily fall into the trap of "going through the motions". We sometimes give ourselves less credit than what we deserve because it means taking less responsibility for our lives. Let's not shy away from control, let's embrace it. Not forgetting to let go of what we can't control. Balance is everything.
Break down your bigger goals into smaller goals.
Sometime it can be quite intimidating to execute big goals. Instead of jumping in blindly, it's beneficial to first visualise what you want to accomplish. There are many ways to do this; you can draw a map, create an outline or come up with a list. When you break down a big task into multiple smaller ones, it makes it more approachable and achievable. We all only have 24 hours in a day and there's only so much energy you can have before you start to feel burnt out and need to recharge, you have to acknowledge your limitations and make the best out of your time and resources. The aim is to learn how to prioritise accordingly.

Surround yourself with like-minded people, positive people and those with similar goals.
This may not be the first time you've heard this but it's very important to have people in your life who believe in your potential. Despite the fact that it may be tempting to want to prove your non-believers wrong, you maybe wasting your time and energy. It can also leave you feeling empty and alone. If you want to stay motivated, be motivated by healthy reasons. Do something because you care about it.
With like-minded people, together, you can build a support system for one another when the going gets tough. We all fall down at some point, what matters is finding other who can lend a hand to help you get back up and try again.
View your obstacles in different perspectives.
There's no time to shy away from your challenges or struggles. Rather, build your resilience and focus on the benefits of growing from the mistakes you make. Setbacks will teach you the art of patience. We have good days and bad days, and it's easy to get discouraged when you experience setbacks.
Life comes with surprises, so it's healthy to expect the unexpected, but don't allow the the temporary negativity to make you suffer. Take a step back, breathe, and tell yourself this storm will pass.
Don't forget yourself and enjoy your best life.
Ever heard the saying "All work no play makes Jack a dull boy"? If all you're doing is work and no fun, then you're putting yourself at risk. Let's not forget to enjoy life for what it is. We must always leave room for yourself to grow with your friends, family and loved ones. Who knows? You may become inspired and come up with good ideas when you're relaxed and rejuvenated.
Give yourself time to be who you are without your work defining who you are. Make room for valuable experiences that remind you why you were motivated in the first place.
