Harry Kane gave Spurs fans the perfect Christmas present bagging a hat-trick to see off Burnley 3-0. It wasn't the best Spurs performance with Burnley putting them under immense pressure for periods of the match, but with a striker like Kane onside there is always hope of getting a victory. 

He got off the mark with what looked like a controversial penalty call from the referee with Dele Alli going down rather easy but that did not stop Kane dispatching this to make it 1-0. He got his second against the run of play, Burnley more focused on pressing for the equaliser left Kane clear through from a Sissoko pass which he slid past the keeper with ease.

His hat-trick came from his own hard work, making a challenge and winning the ball just outside Burnley's box. He then got the ball back off Alli shifting the ball from his right foot to his left driving the ball across the keeper taking his tally to 15 goals in the league.

Spurs had chances, Son, Alli and Sissoko just to name a few losing composure in front of goal Kane kept his cool. He has now score 93 goals for Spurs second to Teddy Sheringham which will be a record he will definatley break. He is a goal away from beating Alan Shearer's record for goals in a calendar year. He can also become the top goalscorer in Europe topping Messi who is on 54 goals. 

Kane has had a great year of football and with one more game of the year left in the form he is in I feel he can end the year overtaking Shearer's record and ending the year as the top goalscorer in Europe. I would like to see him show this type of form for England and take them far in the World Cup as he has the goals in him to do so.
