Yes! We're back for another Premier League season. If you are not following our page by now, follow and tell a friend to tell a friend!

After a lot of money spent in the summer, the teams are ready and have all competed on this opening weekend. As usual, there were some close contenders Pogba, Mane, Milner, Moutinho, Seri and many more. But for me Pereyra was the man of the weekend.

Since joining from Juventus in 2016 Pereyra has scored the most amount of goals for any club he has played for previously (scoring only 8 for Undinese and 4 for Juventus). He inspired Watford to get off to a flying start in the league scoring a brace as they saw off Brighton at Vicarage Road

On 35th minute he slammed home a volley to open the scoring for Watford in a game that they dominated from start to finish. His second came on the 54th minute putting the game out of Brighton's reach curling his effort beyond the keeper with ease.

*Incoming the opta stats* Watford are unbeaten in their last 12 opening games to a league with their last defeat being against Everton in 2006 (W6, D6). Pereyra has been involved in Watford's last six Premier League goals scoring 5 and assisting 1 and he has scored 5 in his last 5 at the Vicarage in the Premier League. His pass accuracy was 83%, he had 60 touches, 5 take ons, 2 interceptions and recovered the ball 12 times.

After the departure of Richarlison I'm sure the Watford fans will be hoping Pereyra can keep this up throughout the season. Congratulations Roberto!
