Player of the weekend
#MW11MOM
David Silva
Age: 31
Height: 1.73m
Nationality: Spanish
Playing position: Attacking midfielder
Cesc Fabregas and Riyad Mahrez were close contenders this week, Kevin De Bruyne no doubt was up there with the top performers of the weekend also. But for me Silva done enough to be the player of the weekend.
He assisted Manchester City's third goal controversially as he appeared to be in an offside position before playing the ball to Jesus to score. Non the less he was outstanding, he averaged 64 touches in the oppositions half which was more than double any of Arsenal's players.
He was disciplined on and off the ball allowing Man City's quicker players to have more freedom to bomb forward in attack and he controlled the midfield and shows no sign of slowing down at his age.
Since signing for City in 2010 he has always been one of the first names on the starting line up. He doesn't get a lot of goals but he can create them with ease. Man City seem to be running away with the title, they have players playing at their best. Keeping Silva fit and playing how he has been may even see them be successful in Europe this season.
