This weekend was close, Riyad Mahrez looked to be back to his best and so too did Ozil. But the Englishman clinched it for me.

Harry Kane took his tally to 8 Premier League goals for the season scoring 2 yesterday against Liverpool. Twelve minutes in he had a goal and an assist, Tottenham's 4th and Kane's second came in the second half putting the game beyond doubt.

Surprisingly this was the first time Kane had scored at home this season in the Premier League, and he done it in front of a record 80,000 plus crowd. He averages 6.5 shots a game and in his last 8 appearances for Spurs in all competitions which he has scored, he's scored twice.

The Ballon d'Or nominated striker has 29 goals this calendar year in the league, the only other player who has more goals across the top 5 European leagues is Lionel Messi. He has been labelled as the complete striker by many managers. Zidane seems to be a fan of his and understandably Kane has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.

It would be good to see Harry perform like this for England during the World Cup. It'll help stamp his name as a prolific goal scorer for club and country. If Spurs are to win anything this season (which I think they'll need to do to keep him) these goals and performances will be needed.
