Player of matchweek 27 #MW27MOM - Gerard Deulofeu

Player of the matchweek

#MW27MOM

Age: 24
Height: 1.77m
Nationality: Spanish
Playing position: Winger

A bit of an anti-climax in the United Liverpool match. Liverpool played so poorly and United had injury after injury after injury. Deulofeu showed his class this matchweek though netting three and assisting one.

Cardiff were demolished, I feel sorry for them due to current circumstances it really is a bad time to be going through a relegation fight. Watford are now seventh in the league and are battling with Wolves for that spot. Deulofeu is playing behind Deeney in a 10 role which seems to be working in his favour. He has more creative freedom, catches teams out running through or onto through balls.

He made it 1-0 in the 18th minute of the match (highlights below) and scored Watford's next two goals completing his hat-trick in the 61st and 63rd minute. He has now become the first player to score a top flight hat-trick for Watford since Mark Falco in October 1986.

He assisted Deeney to make it 4-0 on the 73rd which now means he has been involved in seven goals in his last three Premier League appearances.

The pursuit for seventh place is on for Watford and they will need players like Deulofeu on song every week. This new role he is playing in seems to suit him at the moment, i'm sure Watford fans will agree.

I'd hate to see Cardiff go down this season, I hope they manage to turn it around.
