Arsenal win 9-0 Behind Closed Doors

The match, which was not advertised, saw Unai Emery field a strong line-up against Harry Kewell’s League Two outfit.
The Gunners weren’t due to play until they face Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint Germain in Singapore next week, so we can only assume that it was a late addition to the schedule.
Bernd Leno made his first appearance for the club since moving from Bayer Leverkusen and Matteo Guendouzi, who made his debut off the bench against Boreham Wood on Saturday, also got a run-out.
From what we can tell, the following players also got minutes: Petr Cech, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Jeff Reine-Adelaide, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Eddie Nketiah, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Aaron Ramsey, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Jordi Osei-Tutu, Sead Kolasinac, Rob Holding, Reiss Nelson, Shkodran Mustafi, Lucas Perez, Sokratis, Hector Bellerin, Emile Smith Rowe, Emiliano Martinez, Alex Lacazette, Carl Jenkinson, Calum Chambers.
Jeff Reine-Adelaide has had to be patient as he waits for his chance to make the breakthrough into the Arsenal first-team and the Frenchman seems especially determined to seize his opportunity.

Reine-Adelaide’s versatility could well prove to be hugely beneficial as far as his chances of making the breakthrough are concerned. Arsenal are well stocked for central midfielders but don’t have many natural wingers to call upon, and Reine-Adelaide is capable of making an impact when deployed on either flank.
Although he is officially a member of the senior squad, Reine-Adelaide is by no means guaranteed to be part of Unai Emery’s plans for the new campaign. His early performances in pre-season, however, may well give his new manager something to think about.

Granted, the opposition, Boreham Wood and Crawley Town, hasn’t been of a particularly high standard, but Reine-Adelaide has still managed to seize his opportunity by scoring in both fixtures, which will surely earn him a place on the plane to Singapore for the next leg of pre-season.
The Arsenal goalscorers were: Lucas Perez (2), Alexandre Lacazette (2), Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson, The Jeff, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
