Player of matchweek 35 #MW35MOM - Kevin De Bruyne

Player of the Matchweek

#MW35MOM

Kevin De Bruyne

Age: 26
Height: 1.81m
Nationality: Belgian
Playing position: Midfielder

If you ask me.. Kevin De Bruyne was the player of the season. I know many of you may disagree but he has bossed this season and has been pivotable to Manchester City's success this season.

The newly crowned Premier League champions sunk the Swans 5-0 this matchweek which is now the fifth time Swansea have lost by this margin in their Premier League history (also against Liverpool x2, Chelsea and Spurs).

From the very first kick, De Bruyne did what he does best orchestrating almost every attack Man City put together putting on a masterclass. His link up play with David Silva throughout the match was good to watch as they created chances for fun. It was Kevin's pass which put Sterling in behind the Swansea defence which set up Silva's goal to open the scoring (highlights below)

He rounded off his performance with a rocket from 30 yards which found the top corner leaving Fabianski hopeless. This was their third goal which kilt the game and De Bruyne's fifth goal from outside the box which is the most any player has scored this season.

Four games left until we see City lift a deserved Premier League trophy. There is a still a chance De Bruyne can pick up an individual award with the new Play maker of the year award. It'll be close with Ozil and Silva being close contenders, but I think they will award this to the Belgian.
