Released during peak club hours this past Friday, Drake’s new song, “Nice for What,” is engineered for a good time. A happy Drake is a high-functioning Drake, and when he has a smile on his face, his music is at its best.
"Nice for What" features actresses like Olivia Wilde, Zoe Saldana, Tiffany Haddish, breakout Black Panther star Letitia Wright, Michelle Rodriguez, Insecure's Issa Rae, Black-ish's Tracee Ellis Ross, Rashida Jones and Emma Roberts – as well as singer Syd, ballet star Misty Copeland and Drake himself – dancing along with the new track in the Karena Evans-directed video.
Drake also told the Toronto audience Thursday that he was back in his native city to finish up work on his next album, the proper follow-up to 2016's Views; More Life, released last year, is a mixtape that served to bridge the gap between LPs. Drake previously previewed the impending album with his Scary Hours EP, featuring "Diplomatic Immunity" and the Hot 100-dominating "God's Plan."
