Player of the Matchweek
#MW27MOM
Sergio Aguero
Age: 29
Height: 1.73m
Nationality: Argentine
Playing position: Striker
Manchester City's all time top goal scorer added four more goals to his record this matchweek seeing off Leicester City 5-1. Imagine, at the start of the season we were lead to believe he would be playing second fiddle to Jesus. Instead he has led that City frontline doing his job which is to score goals. (highlights below)
The Aguero show started on the 48th minute, assisted by potentially the player of the season De Bryne, the ball was played across the box first time for Aguero to tap in from close range. Five minutes later assisted by De Bryne again Sergio smashed the ball passed the keeper to get his second of the match making the score 3-1.
His hat-trick came on the 77th minute, a mistake from Schmeichel, some may call it an assist left Aguero 1v1 and showing his world class ability he chipped the keeper to secure the match ball and put the game further out of reach for Leicester.
His fourth and my personal favourite on the 90th minute he made it five with a remarkable strike. The ball hit the bar before bouncing down and up into the roof of the net. A wonderful strike to round off a goal fest for the striker.
This is now the fourth time Aguero has score 4+ goals in a single Premier League match, this is more than any player in the history of the competition. Not only that, the striker is definately a Premier League great joining Henry and Shearer scoring 20+ goals in four consecutive seasons.
This guy is an unreal striker and I wish I could watch him in the Premier League all over again. He has achieved great things this season and may get the golden boot with these perfomances. As we are all aware Aguero and Man City have one hand on the Premier League already and Pep can thank this man for helping them get there.
