Who is Isaac Shaze?

Age: 28
Height: 1.64m
Nationality: Ghanian
Playing position: Attacking / Defensive Midfield

Isaac Shaze came through the 'Right to dream' academy which was founded by Tom Vernon. This educational sports charity was founded in 1999 in Ghana's capital Accra. Through hard work and dedication Isaac was hand picked and got an opportunity to move to England and chase his dream to play professional football.

As a young teenager he played for numerous professional football academies before going to Hartpury University to study and play football full time.

During his spell in England Shaze lit up the Semi-pro footballing leagues in the Midlands, scoring goals for Forest Green and Evesham.

Isaac's professional career started off in Sweden when he signed for Ostersund. He spent two season here performing to the highest standard. His agility, speed and excellent decision making was improved during his first major spell in the professional game.

He moved in January 2014 and signed for Umea FC. He had a short spell here featuring four times for the club scoring on two occasions.

Isaac joined Osters in 2015 and has made over 60 appearances for the club scoring two goals playing defensive midfield. This has been his longest spell at a professional club which he has featured heavily throughout his spell here.

He is the perfect all-round midfielder with a full range of passing. His creative playing style is something that his team mates benefit from as he can provide and create goal-scoring opportunities at will. His ability to read the game enables him to break up play, make important challenges and turn defence into attack.

What's next for Isaac Shaze?

Like all footballers he has the desire to return to England and play in the English leagues. He has been linked with Championship sides with his strongest link being a return to Forest Green Rovers. A return to Rovers could be what they need to strengthen their starting 11.

Forest Green are currently trying to avoid relegation from League 2. This would be a good start for Isaac to break into the professional game in England, establish himself and move up the leagues.

I think he should be considered for the Ghana Black Stars. All international squads need senior players i hope to see him feature for them in the near future.

Keep an eye out for Isaac Shaze!
