Jay-Z 4:44 Album goes Platnium

Jay-Z turns his life into a nice first week release date. The RIAA has awarded Jay-Z’s 4:44 album platinum certification. In similar fashion of Magna Carta Holy Grail, Jay’s new body of work, which was initially only available to Tidal users and Sprint customers who applied, has sold enough copies through streams or album equivalents.

With the RIAA setting new rules for certifications, artists no longer have to wait a full 30 days before being eligible for gold or platinum achievements. This now makes the 17th album (13th solo) that Jay-Z has platinum. Congrats to Hova and TIDAL!
