KREPT KONAN - THE LONG WAY HOME
Casyo "Krept" Johnson and Karl "Konan" Wilson have won Mobos and BET accolades since they released their first mixtape in 2010. Three mixtapes later, the South London rap duo, both 25, finally offer up their debut album, The Long Way Home. Featuring collaborations with Ed Sheeran, Emeli Sande and Wiz Khalifa - and even a special guest appearance on an interlude from Konan's mum - it isn't what you might expect from a typical grime record, but this IS NOT a grime record. There will be a lot of people expecting the old Krept & Konan, if you want their old stuff you''ll have to buy their old stuff "Tsunami" will have the fire to warm you up. This Album is "Fresh" with fast and furious rhymes and beats, there are plenty of pop culture references to make this relevant and accessible to everyone. Stand-out tracks include Last Night featuring YG, Because Of You, the Drake-like Think About It, the playful Freak Of The Week ft. Jeremih and the beautiful Roses with Sande. It may have been a long wait but The Long Way Home is well worth a listen.Rating: 8/10

Krept & Konan have released a music video for 'The Long Way Home' album track ‘Do It For The Gang’.
The London duo’s adopt a more trap rap inspired sound for the cut, which features Taylor Gang chief Wiz Khalifa. The video itself is more explicit than their previous offerings with a parade of scantily-clad women.
The video is the second to drop from the album, following the official video for hit single ‘Freak of The Week’ which reached the top 10 of the UK charts on Sunday.
The pair recently shut down Finsbury Park with an epic performance at Wireless festival .
Well done Krept and Konan, whose album The Long Way Home reached No.2 in the chart – the highest charting UK rap album in history.
The London duo, both 25, bonded 10 years ago when Krept used to get Konan into girls’ parties. Krept says: “There were always little get- together with girls and I used to get Konan in as the numbers were so limited.”
