Real Madrid 'will not negotiate' Sergio Ramos deal with Man Utd

Real Madrid will not sell Sergio Ramos this summer.

Reports surfaced over the weekend that United were interested in a straight swap deal for Ramos, with goalkeeper David De Gea going the other way.

Ramos is believed to want a move a way from Real in the summer after the club allowed his contract to enter its final two years.

However, Guillem Balague insists it's all a ploy to earn a new and improved deal at the La Liga giants, who remain confident of signing De Gea.

"All you need to know is #1 his buy-out clause is €200million, #2 more importantly, Real Madrid do not want to negotiate, do not want to sell their player, and #3 Sergio Ramos wants a new contract, it finishes in 2017.

"He feels he deserves better treatment than what he is getting, financially at least. I think this is just part of negotiations.

"Yes, Manchester United would like to have him of course, and yes, he has allowed for these stories to come out. Because he does want everybody to know he is not fully happy at Real Madrid.

"It would be a cheeky offer from Manchester United to ask for a swap [with De Gea].

"Real Madrid are hopeful they can get De Gea, even if Manchester United don't seem to be negotiating at present."
