Lil Wayne has joined Tidal as one of the music and video streaming company's co-owners. In order to officially stamp his involvement with Tidal, Wayne dropped a new song called "Glory" exclusively through the streaming service. Reports suggest that Lil Wayne will also perform an exclusive show for the Tidal subscribers, as part of Tidal X.
"We're honoured for Lil Wayne to join Tidal. His eagerness to release an exclusive Tidal track and schedule Tidal X performance is just another example of how passionately artists care about getting their music to fans." Tidal executive Vania Schogel said in a statement. Further details regarding the concert have nit been revealed, but Jay Z, J Cole and Jack White have all performed shows exclusively on Tidal.
Lil Wayne's "Free Weezy" is expected to be released soon, and there is a possibility the project will only be available to Tidal users.
