The Smart Boy Transforms Your iPhone 6 Into a Classic Game Boy

What started out as an April Fool's day joke for nostalgic video gamers may end up becoming an incredible product. Now that we live in a world where street-smart business use April 1st as a testing ground for their most innovative product. A couple of weeks ago Hyperkin - A peripherals and accessories campaign - released some concept art, for a device called "Smart Boy". 

April 2nd, the Hyperkin posted the following message on Facebook: "A lot of you were speculating that the Smart Boy is an April Fools' Joke. Well, it sort of was. We "leaked" it with the intial intent of testing the market, seeing whether or not it should be we'd actually make under the guise of an April Fools' Joke. 

Looks like you awesome folks ACTUALLY WANT IT, so the Smart Boy is now in development! Thank you all for your enthusiastic responses!"

The Smart Boy will allow iPhone and Android users to play old-school Game Boy titles on their mobile phones. If you have a library of Game Boy and Game Boy Color cartridges, it might be time to dust them off.
