The Gunners proved too strong as Arsene Wenger's me enjoyed a fine win a Selhurst Park.

Arsenal have been renowned for fast starts as of late, scoring a flurry of goals inside the opening half an hour of matches. And they went ahead after just eight minutes courtesy of Santi Cazorla.

Danny Welbeck was fouled inn the area, and Carzorla stepped up to slot home the penalty - his 7th of the season, and six of those have been penalties.

Olivier Giroud (above) celebrates doubling Arsenal's lead.

Though Arsenal barely fashioned any chances in the first half, they doubled their lead with just their second shot on target on the stroke of half time.

After Welbeck saw his shot parried by Julian Speroni, Giroud was on hand to pounce, tapping home from close range.

Glenn Murray grabbed a late goal for the Eagles in stoppage time of the second half, but it proved to be little more than a consolation.

Palace remain in 13th place, but Arsenal continue to gather momentum having lost just one of their last six Premier League games.
